Okay; I didn't want to spoil the humor with an explanation. But for readers who aren't Boris Watchers, I should mention that the photo was actually taken much earlier than the snap election. He was upset that he'd said something unthinkingly -- I don't remember what it was that time. Anyhow I am pretty sure that was also his reaction when Mrs May dug in her heels. As to whether he has a shot at PM if she's forced out, he might.
